Oradea University offers quality education for students interested in pursuing a career in Medicine. The English Department was opened in 1991 and has since produced Medical Doctors from countries all around the world. The qualification is highly recognized and graduates write the same state licensing exams as the Romanian language Department. The Oradea International Medical University is non-profit and is owned by the state. There are approximately 60 first year seats available at this Romanian Medical University and students should apply early to the medical faculty to avoid disappointment.

The mission of the University of Oradea's foreign medical school is to train and educate on a large scale both the students and also the high education graduates, as well as to approaches certain domain of science and technology at high level. The structure of the Romanian Medical Universities contains academic education, postgraduate medical education, colleges and scientific research. The University has the right to grant the titles of graduate, licensee, master, doctor, honorary professor, visiting professor and associate professor.

The Romanian Medical Faulty of Oradea expanded itself by developing new faculties, colleges and research teams, as well as by developing certain specializations inside the existing faculties.

Inside the Romanian Medical School of Oradea the education and research activity is developing in the area of natural and physical sciences, as well as in the area of social and human sciences, covering (according with the UNESCO classification) the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Sciences of Life, Agricultural Sciences, Medical Sciences, Technological and Engineering Sciences, Economical Sciences, Geography, History, Juridical Sciences and Law, Linguistics, Pedagogy, Political Sciences, Psychology, Letters and Arts, Sociology, Philosophy. The educational process is based on the curricula for long term studies, short term studies, postgraduate's studies, master, doctoral studies and programs of continuous education and Distance Open Education in Romanian Medical Universities.
